Nepal to face Uganda in women’s T20I series

Kathmandu - The national women’s cricket team of Nepal is all set to play an international women’s T20I series against Uganda at home ground in mid-May. According to the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN), Nepal will play 5 WTOI matches against Uganda at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur.
This is the first time that the national women’s cricket team of Nepal will be playing an international cricket match at home ground. Prior to this, the women’s team had played regional cricket match during the 13th South Asian Games in 2019 in Pokhara. The match against Uganda will be considered as an T20I match and will be crucial for improving Nepal’s ICC ranking.
Nepal is currently ranked 16th in the world ranking while Uganda is 19th.
