Agencies Rupandehi-XI and Malaysia-XI have reached the final of the Pro Club Championship underway in Bhairahawa. Rupandehi secured a place in the final on Thursday after defeating Tribhuvan Army Club by 6 wickets. It may be noted that the army team has majority of players from the national team. The first semifinal match between Malaysia and Uttar Pradesh was reduced to 5 overs each. Dipendra Airee becomes first cricketer from Nepal to rank top 10 in ICC list

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - Nepal’s all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee has made it to the list of top 10 all-rounders published by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Airee has been ranked 10th in the latest ranking of all-rounders unveiled by the ICC. Airee has become the first Nepali player to achieve the feat with 152 rating points. No other player from Nepal has ranked top ten in any of the categories of ICC so far. In 2019, Nepal’s former captain Paras Khadka had ranked 25th in the all-rounder list. That was the highest ranking achieved by any Nepali player until Airee’s latest achievement. Airee is currently ranked 38th in the batting discipline while Kushal Bhurtel is ranked 36th. Nepal are ranked 12 in this month’s T20I ranking published by the  ICC on Sunday. Nepal improved in the T20I ranking after winning the triangular series involving Papua New Guinea and Malaysia last week. Nepal won all five matches in the triangular series held at the home turf. Unbeaten Nepal defeated Papua New Guinea (PNG) by 50 runs in the final to clinch the series which also involved Malaysia. By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - Nepal’s fast bowler Kamal Singh Airee underwent successful surgery after sustaining injury during Nepal’s T20I triangular series match against Malaysia on Saturday. A team of doctors led by Dr Niraj KC and Nirajan Subedi successfully performed the operation of Airee at Kalanki-based Nepal National Hospital on Sunday morning.
