By a Staff Reporter

Kathmandu – Nepal’s all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee has made it to the list of top 10 all-rounders published by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

Airee has been ranked 10th in the latest ranking of all-rounders unveiled by the ICC. Airee has become the first Nepali player to achieve the feat with 152 rating points. No other player from Nepal has ranked top ten in any of the categories of ICC so far.

In 2019, Nepal’s former captain Paras Khadka had ranked 25th in the all-rounder list. That was the highest ranking achieved by any Nepali player until Airee’s latest achievement.

Airee is currently ranked 38th in the batting discipline while Kushal Bhurtel is ranked 36th. Aarif Sheikh is ranked 99th.

Similarly, Sandeep Lamichhane is ranked 38th in the T20I bowling category while Avinash Bohora is ranked 86th.

Airee has moved ahead of players like Sri Lanka’s spinner Wanindu Hasranga, Australia great Mitchell Marsh and Bangladesh skipper Mahmadullah who are ranked 11th, 17th and 20th respectively.

An all-round performance by Airee had helped Nepal lift the triangular T20I series against Papua New Guinea and Malaysia a week ago without losing any match.
