Kathmandu – Argentina’s ambassador to Nepal Hugo Javier Gobbi paid a courtesy call on Minister for Youth and Sports Maheshwar Gahatraj on Tuesday. During the meeting, Minister Gahatraj invited Argentina’s football team to Nepal.
Ambassador Gobbi, who arrived in Nepal to present his credentials to the president, met Sports Minister Gahatraj on the sidelines at Singha Durbar. The sports minister and the envoy discussed prospects of improving bilateral relations between Nepal and Argentina and cooperation for development of sports.
The sports minister’s secretariat informed that Ambassador Gobbi agreed to Minister Gahatraj’s proposal of organizing a friendly football match between Nepal and Argentina.
Stating that the friendly match would help improve ties between the two countries, Minister Gahatraj invited Argentine players to visit Nepal through the ambassador.
