Airee scores half century as APF crush Talent Hunt Cricket Academy

Kathmandu – Captain Pradeep Airee scored a half-century to help APF crush Talent Hunt Cricket Academy by 7 wickets in the Pro Club Championship on Tuesday.

Chasing a target of 126 runs for victory, APF achieved success in 19 overs losing 3 wickets.  Captain Airee scored 54 runs off 58 balls. His innings included 6 boundaries. Opener Deepak Bohora contributed 42 runs off 38 balls including 5 boundaries and a six.

Earlier, Talent Hunt Cricket Academy opted to bat first after winning the toss at Siddhartha Stadium in Bhairahawa and posted a total of 125 runs in 20 overs losing 8 wickets. Asdur Jaman Barenayo topscored 30 runs off 34 balls for the cricket academy. APF’s Bhuvan Karki and Pradeep Airee took two wickets each.

APF are third in Group B with two wins and a loss from 3 matches. APF has already crashed out from the semifinal race. Tribhuvan Army Club lead the standings with two wins from two matches. Uttar Pradesh Cricket Club-XI are second with equal wins to that of Army. Both Army and Uttar Pradesh have qualified for the semifinals from Group B.

Rupandehi-XI lead Group A with two wins from two matches. Malaysia are second with one win and a loss from two matches followed by Pashu Sports Delhil and Nepal Police Club.
