Gritty Nepal U-19 goes down to MCC

Kathmandu (Hamro Khelkud) - Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) defeated Nepal U-19 National Cricket Team by 38 runs in the inaugural match of the Legacy Tour in TU Cricket Ground, Kathmandu on Friday. MCC, put in to bat first registered 334-7 in allotted 50 overs after three players scored half-century each. Opener Will Rhodes top-scored with 93 runs off 83 balls to pile pressure on youth side. He along with Billy Godleman put up 110 runs for the first wicket. Godleman was trapped leg before on 22 runs by spinner Sagar Dhakal on the last ball of 17th over. Asian Premier League T20 Cricket set to kick off in Nepal

Kathmandu (Hamro khelkud) - The inaugural edition of franchise based cricket tournament, Asian Premier League is scheduled to kick off in Nepal, organizers informed amid launching ceremony held in Kathmandu. The six teams Afghanistan Bulls, Bangladesh Tigers, Dubai Warriors, Indian Stars, Nepal Strom, Sri Lankan lions will compete in round robin and knock out based tournament where the winners bags almost 40 thousand USD (25 lakhs Indian rupees). The tournament will feature 19 matches and all the games will be shown live in Sony Six. Every team will have 15 players and three staffs, the players to be decided through Auction which will be live at Sony Six on Monday, 12th June.
