Kathmandu – Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) is all set to organize Nepal T20 Cricket League in September.
CAN informed during a press meet on Monday that it took permission from the National Sports Council two months ago to organize the league.
According to CAN, Indian company Seven Three Sports will be the strategic partner of the event. CAN has already signed an eight-year contract worth Rs 330 million with the Indian company to organize the league.
CAN’s Acting Secretary Prashant Bikram Malla informed that they registered the league as Nepal T20 Cricket League as Nepal Premier League has already been registered by someone else.
Captain Sandeep Lamichhane said that the league will be helpful for Nepal’s youth players.
“This will help in developing cricket,” said Lamichhane.
Meanwhile, CAN President Chatur Bahadur Chand said that the event will not only help develop cricket but will also improve Nepal’s performance in international events.
