By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu (Hamro Khelkud) - Bagmati Province’s young spinner Surya Tamang has been adjudged the Player of the Tournament of the PM Cup Men’s National Cricket 2080. Surya was announced as the best player following Nepal Police Club’s triumph over the Tribhuwan Army Club in the final. Surya was great with the ball throughout the tournament having picked 30 wickets in nine outings. He received a Honda bike along with the title of the best player. On top of that, he was also awarded as the Best Bowler of the Tournament. Madhesh Province’s Anil Sah was adjudged the Best Batter of the Tournament. Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) - Tribhuwan Army Club have defended a low total against Gandaki Province to confirm their place in the final of PM Cup 2080. Army, defending a mere 132 runs in 50 overs, packed up Gandaki Province early to confirm their place in the final against Nepal Police Club. Chasing 133 runs, Gandaki were bundled over for 64 runs in just 23.4 overs and ended their campaign with a loss. Bangladesh registered a five-wicket victory over Nepal in Bloemfontein to register two points in the group. Chasing a target of a mere 170 runs, Bangladesh got over the line in 25.2 overs at the loss of just five wickets. This was Karnali's first-ever win against a departmental side in the history of the PM Cup and effectively put an end to APF's qualification hopes. Police defeated Gandaki Province by six wickets in Mulpani on Monday, to keep their winning run alive, and become the first team to confirm their place in Saturday’s final.  Police chased down the target of 171 runs in 24.2 overs at the loss of just four wickets. Madhesh defeated Sudurpaschim by 80 runs to climb above their opposition today in the table. Chasing a mammoth target of 320 runs at the TU Cricket Ground, Madhesh were bundled over for 239 runs in 44.5 overs. Naren Bhatta's stellar ton of 121 runs in 122 deliveries wasn't enough to get Sudurpaschim over the line to get four defeats in a row.
