Nepal Suffer First Home ODI Loss Of Monty Desai Era

Kathmandu (Hamro Khelkud) - Nepal have suffered their first home One-Day International (ODI) defeat of the Monty Desai era. Nepal’s four-wicket loss against Namibia in the ICC Cricket World Cup League 2 opener against Namibia was the first ODI loss at home in the 14th match under Monty Desai.
Nepal’s 13th matches had ended in wins that included eight wins in the previous CEC League-2 cycle, two in the ACC Premier Cup and three against Canada earlier this month.
Namibia, chasing a mere 133 runs in 50 overs, got over the line in 33.1 overs at the loss of six wickets. Nepal took three successive wickets from a stage of 81-2 to make the score 84-5 but the target proved to be too little to spiral a successful defense.
