ICC Chair Greg Barclay Set To Visit Nepal

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu (Hamro Khelkud) - International Cricket Council (ICC) chair Greg Barclay is set to visit Nepal next week. The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has informed about Barclay's visit through a release on Wednesday evening. In the release, CAN expressed the importance of Barclay's visit to unlock more opportunities and aid in the development of cricket in Nepal. Barclay is set to arrive in Kathmandu on March 18 and will spend four days in Nepal. During his visit, Barclay is scheduled to visit the TU International Cricket Ground and Mulpani Cricket Stadium. Nepal, chasing 172 runs in 20 overs were packed up on just 85 runs in 16.3 overs. Sundeep Jora scored 17 runs for Nepal and was the highest scorer on the day. Loftie-Eaton broke Kushal Malla's 34-ball record made against Mongolia at the Asian Games in 2023 to get to the century in 33 deliveries and now has the record to his name. He got out for 101 runs in 36 deliveries at the TU International Cricket Ground with 11 fours and eight sixes in his innings. CAN Unveils Central Contracts For Year 2024

CAN revealed the contracts on Monday following a board meeting of the central working committee held on February 24 and 26. Notably, six players in the A grade, including captain Rohit Kumar Paudel, will receive a monthly salary of one lakh rupees each. As per the new arrangement, Grade A male players will receive one lakh per month, while Grade B players will receive Rs 70,000, Grade C players Rs 55,000, Grade D players Rs 35,000, and emerging category players Rs 25,000. Nepal A’s Fixtures For Series Against Canada Announced

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu (Hamro Khelkud) - Nepal A's first assignment since its formation has been announced by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN). The team will take on Canada later this month at the Mulpani International Cricket Ground. The three-match one-day series will kick off on February 18 with the second and third matches taking place on February 20 and 22 respectively. The Canadian side are extending their stay to take on the newly formed A side after losing 3-0 to the senior side. Nepal A's 16-man squad has already been announced from a previously announced 36-man player pool.
