Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) – Nepal Police Club have registered sixth straight victory at the ongoing PM Cup 2080 to keep their cent percent record in tact. Police defeated Karnali Province by six wickets to make it six wins out of six.
Police got to a target of 172 runs in 23.4 overs at the loss of four wickets. Opener Dilip Nath remained not out for Police on 75 off 62 deliveries with six fours and four sixes. Kushal Bhurtel made a 28-ball 43 and hit three fours and three sixes.
Skipper Dipendra Singh Airee chipped in with 34 runs off 28 deliveries with four fours and a six. Karnali’s Prakash Jaishi took two wickets while Diwan Pun and Dipendra Rawat took one each.
Earlier, Karnali, after winning the toss and opting to bat first at the TU Cricket Ground, were packed up on 171 runs in 42.5 overs. Karnali’s opener Nischal Rawal made a 107-ball 50. His opening partner Rabindra Shahi made a 35-ball 40 with eight fours and a six.
Arjun Gharti contributed 23 runs to the total with Diwan Pun playing a quickfire innings of 20 runs off five deliveries with three sixes.
Sagar Dhakal took three wickets for Police while Lalit Bhandari took two. Dipendra Singh Airee, Lalit Rajbanshi and Kushal Bhurtel took one wicket each.
