Nepal to face hosts Bangladesh in the opener

By a Staff Reporter Nepal is set to take on hosts Bangladesh in an inaugural match of the CAVA U23 Men's Volleyball Championship 2022 to be held in Dhaka from December 20 to 27. According to the fixtures revealed on Tuesday, Nepal will face Bangladesh at 3:45 PM NST on December 20. Similarly, Kyrgyzstan will see Sri Lanka in the second match of the same day. Every participating team will directly qualify for the semis in a championship participated by four nations. However, The group stage matches will be utilized as practice sessions.   The semi-final will kick off on 25th December and the final of the championship will be held on 26th December. 20 players shortlisted for close camp

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - The Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA) has picked up 20 players for the close camp from the open trial participated by 84. The National Volleyball Team is scheduled to participate in the CAVA U23 Men’s Volleyball Championship to be held from 20 to 27 December in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Head coach Jagadish Prasda Bhatt on Saturday and the close camp will begin on Sunday. Bhatt appointed as National U23 Volleyball team head coach

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA) on Monday appointed Jagadish Prasad Bhatt as the Head Coach of the Nepal U23 Men's Volleyball team. Bhatt, a renowned name in domestic volleyball will lead the U23 Volleyball squad to the maiden CAVA U23 Men's Volleyball Championship to be held from 20 to 27 December in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Bharat Yadav will assist Bhatt and National Sports Council (NSC) volleyball coach Prajjwal Bahadur Singh will be a part of the team. Police edge out APF to reach final of New Diamond Cup

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - Nepal Police Club emerged victorious in the departmental derby against APF during the Bagmati Province New Diamond Cup Open National Women’s Volleyball Championship on Thursday. Police defeated their rivals APF in the last match of the round-robin league to extend their unbeaten run. Despite the defeat, APF along with Police reached the final of the championship by the virtue of finishing second in the league round.    During the clash of the two teams at Kirtipur-based Multipurpose Covered Hall, Police fought back from the second set down to defeat APF 3-1.
