The 8th Plenary Meeting of the association that concluded in Bhaktapur on Thursday decided to conduct the 9th Annual General Meeting and election on September 7. 133 stakeholders were granted the voting rights for the election of the association. In the central election representatives from 77 districts and 7 provinces, National Team captains, coaches and referees will cast their vote.

Only a single candidacy has been announced for the President as of now. Niroz Maskey, who is the current Vice-President of the NVA had announced her candidacy for the President last year itself. Rest of the 13 members will be appointed on the basis of nomination made by the elected Exco. Likewise, a former President will be appointed as an ex-officio member which then fulfills the quota of 39 members exco.

Although there are 136 voters, only 133 people will be able to cast their vote this time. For the central election of the NVA, 1 vote each from the 77 districts will be casted. Similarly, there will be 14 votes from seven provinces at the rate of 2 each. There are 39 members in the current executive committee. As three among them are employees of National Sports Council (NSC), they will not be permitted to vote.

1 member from the referee commission, the captains of the national team (men and women) and three civil clubs (Dhorpatan Volleyball Training Center, New Diamond Sports Club and Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Center) have received the voting rights.
