Pratibha felicitated with Chandragiri Sports Award

Kathmandu – Chandragiri Sports Academy felicitated Nepal National Women’s Volleyball Team member Pratibha Mali with the Chandragiri Sports Award on Saturday amidst the finals of the fifth edition of the Naikap Gold Cup.

The Mayor of Nagarjuna Municipality, Mohan Basnet, the president of the Chandragiri Sports Academy, Krishna Hari Basnet, and others rewarded Pratibha with NRs. 50,000.

Chandragiri Sports Academy has stepped up to honor players who are permanent residents of Chandragiri Municipality from this year. Academy’s President Basnet said they rewarded Pratibha to appreciate her contribution to the Nepali sports industry.

Pratibha features New Diamond Youth Sports Club in domestic volleyball. With her top-notch performance, New Diamond has clinched several domestic volleyball titles. New Diamond won the titles NVA Club Championship, Damak Cup, and Lok Bahadur Pun Memorial Cup last year.

Pratibha took a break from volleyball after the Prime Minister’s Cup held in Nepalgunj as her old injury flared up. She marked her comeback by bagging the bronze medal in the recently concluded 9th National Games in Myagdi donning Bagmati Province’s color.
