Six Squash Players Chosen to Represent Nepal in the 19th Asian Games

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - The Nepal Squash Racquets Association has made its final selection of six players who will represent Nepal in the upcoming Squash Competition under the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. The Association has carefully chosen a diverse team consisting of three male and three female players. Among the female athletes, the National Champion Bipana Blon, along with Krishna Thapa, and Swasthani Shrestha have been selected to compete in the women's division. NOC President Jeevan Ram Shrestha bade farewell to Sanyog Kapali and Rubin Maharjan amidst a program at NOC premises in Satdobato. The championship will be held on January 7 to 13 in Qatar. Amrit clinches gold in 3 consecutive editions of the National Games

By a Staff Reporter Pokhara - Amrit Thapa Magar of Gandaki Province clinched gold in the men's singles squash competition at the 9th National Games. With the competitive victory over Arahant Keshar Singh of Bagmati Province in a set of 3-2 on the squash court at Pokhara Stadium, Amrit won gold in 3 consecutive editions of the National Games. Amrit defeated Arahant in the seventh national game and beat Prabin Kanskar in the eighth to win the gold. Amrit won the first set by 12-10 and lost the second by 8-11.
