By a Staff Reporter

Kathmandu – The Nepal Squash Racquets Association has made its final selection of six players who will represent Nepal in the upcoming Squash Competition under the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.

The Association has carefully chosen a diverse team consisting of three male and three female players. Among the female athletes, the National Champion Bipana Blon, along with Krishna Thapa, and Swasthani Shrestha have been selected to compete in the women’s division. Likewise, the National Champion Amrit Thapa Magar, alongside Aarhant Keshar Singh, and Amir Blon have been picked to vie in the men’s division.

Notably, an interesting aspect of the team composition is that both Bipana and Amir, as well as Krishna and Amrit, are siblings. Bipana and Amrit recently demonstrated their exceptional skills and emerged as the champions in the 9th National Games held earlier this year.

The experienced Hira Bahadur Thapa has been appointed as the team’s coach and will guide the players throughout the prestigious tournament. The team manager will be the esteemed president of the Nepal Squash Racquets Association, Kishore Maharjan.

Nepal will participate in 29 sporting events during the Asian Games, which will be held from September 23 to October 8.
