Kathmandu – The All Nepal Table Tennis Association has received the opportunity to host the South Asian Regional Table Tennis Qualification for the first time.

The competition belonging to the Asian Table Tennis Federation (ATTF) will take place from December 8 to 11 at National Table Tennis Training Center in Lainchour.
The President of the Association, Chaturanad Rajbaidya confirmed that the necessary preparations have been completed and various committees have been formed to conduct the competition, during a press conference on Tuesday.
60 players from 6 South Asian Nations – Nepal, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and Maldives are set to compete in the qualification. 5 Male and 5 Players will show their participation from each nation.
16 players will qualify from Men’s Single and Women’s Single, in a competition that will be played on a league cum knockout basis.
Rubin Maharjan, Pradip Rokka, Sanyog Kapali, Binesh Khaniya, and Shivasundar Gothe will feature Nepal in Men’s Single. Similarly, Nabita Shrestha, Alina Maharjan, Rabina Maharjan, Sikka Suwal, and Evana Thapamagar will compete in Women’s Single
While Sanjib Dhungel will be in charge of the team, Sanjaya Aryal and Sandhya Shakya will assist him.
