By a Staff Reporter Nepal Police Club (NPC) and Lumbini Province registered a comfortable victory over Province 1 and Karnali Province in an ongoing Women's Cricket Tournament belonging to the 9th National Games. In the first match of the day NPC registered the second consecutive victory following the excellent performance of Samjhana Khadka and leg-spinner Hiranmayi Roy. Police defeated Province 1 by a wide margin of 118 runs and reached the semi-finals. Chasing a winning target of 159 runs, Province 1 scored 40 runs losing 8 wickets in the allotted 20 overs. By a Staff Reporter Nepal Police Club (NPC) beat Karnali Province by 63 runs through the Duckworth Lewis method to register the first victory in the Women's Cricket Tournament belonging to the 9th National Games. NPC Women's team made its debut in domestic cricket through this match. NPC, who won the toss at Pokhara Stadium chose to bat first and scored 110 runs losing 6 wickets in the scheduled 20 overs. Police receive a deadline of 7 days to investigate Sandeep Lamichhane’s case

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - The Kathmandu District Court has given seven days deadline to the police to further investigate Sandeep Lamichhane, who was arrested on the charge of raping a minor girl. According to Sandeep's advocate Saroj Krishna Ghimire, the court has given a deadline of 7 days to Nepal Police effective from October 6. Sandeep, who returned back to Nepal on October 6 with the motive of submitting himself to the Police, got arrested at the Tribhuvan International Airport. By a Staff Reporter The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) announced that the first ever NepalT20 which is scheduled to commence on September 24, 2022, in TU Cricket Stadium has been postponed to December 2022. CAN requested the Ministry of Home Affairs to provide the necessary security forces at the stadium and at the hotel where the players will reside during the tournament. In return, the Ministry of Home Affairs directed CAN to conduct the Nepal T20 only after the completion of the General Election which will elect 275 members of the House of Representatives.
