Kathmandu – The Kathmandu District Court has given seven days deadline to the police to further investigate Sandeep Lamichhane, who was arrested on the charge of raping a minor girl.

According to Sandeep’s advocate Saroj Krishna Ghimire, the court has given a deadline of 7 days to Nepal Police effective from October 6. Sandeep, who returned back to Nepal on October 6 with the motive of submitting himself to the Police, got arrested at the Tribhuvan International Airport.

Sandeep has been kept in the Police Circle Gaushala for further investigation. Since the court was opened only on Monday after the Dashain holiday, the police took Sandeep to court to set the deadline today.
The complaint has been filed against Sandeep Bhadra 21. An arrest warrant has been issued by the Kathmandu District Court on Bhadra 23 for further investigation on Sandeep for the offense of ‘No coercion’ under Section 219 of Chapter-18 of the Civil Crimes (Code) Act, 2074.”
According to the initial investigation, It has been found that Sandeep took the 17-year-old girl to various places in Kathmandu and Bhaktapur on 5th Bhadra and repeatedly molested the girl at 12:25 AM in room number 305 of a hotel located in Kathmandu District Metropolitan City 9. The CC Tv footage showed that Sandeep checked in to the hotel at 11:55 PM.
