Invited to bat first in the day's first match, Kathmandu Knights scored 180/6 in the allocated 20 overs. With opener Virandeep Singh getting dismissed for 9 runs, skipper Gyanendra Malla left the crease following the duck out for the third time in the tournament.
Sunam Gautam, who partnered with Virandeep in opening the inning contributed the highest of 62 runs to the winning side. Sunam smashed 4 fours and sixers in 47 deliveries to collect the total.
