Rubina, who led her team, Koshi Province, from the front, performed both with the bat as well as the ball to take home the title of the best player. Rubina received a Yamaha 125 cc scooter with the award. Rubina took her tally to 345 runs in ten matches of the tournament, including a half-century in the final as well. APF, led by Sita Rana Magar, defeated Koshi Province, led by Rubina Chhetri, by 11 runs to win the title. Chasing a target of 115 runs, Koshi managed to score 103 in 20 overs at the loss of just four wickets. Skipper Rubina Chhetri's innings of 62 runs in 58 deliveries with seven fours and a six couldn't be enough to get her side over the line. With 16 runs required off the final over, Rubina was stumped in the first ball off Karuna Bhandari and Koshi's chances derailed. Sudurpaschim defeated Bagmati by nine wickets in the eliminator to advance to the second qualifier against Koshi Province tomorrow. Chasing a target of 100 runs set up by Bagmati, Sudurpaschim got to the total in 14.2 overs at the loss of just one wicket. Opener Bindu Rawal played an unbeaten innings of 54 off 49 deliveries with seven fours. Samjhana Khadka remained not out at the other end on 21 off 16 deliveries in an innings that had two fours. APF defeated Koshi Province Women by 52 runs in Qualifier 1 to book their place in Wednesday’s final. Chasing a target of 140 runs, Koshi could only managed to score 87 at the loss of four wickets in 20 overs. Bagmati Province’s 10-wicket win over Karnali Province on Thursday finalized all four teams for the playoffs. Armed Police Force (APF) are at the top of the table on 10 points from five matches. Koshi Province stand second on the table with 10 points from six matches while Far-Western Province remain third with eight points from six matches.
