Rubina Named ‘Best Player’ Of PM Women’s Cup 2080

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) - Koshi Province Women's Cricket Team skipper Rubina Chhetry has been named the Best Player of the PM Cup Women's National Championship 2080. Rubina, who led her team, Koshi Province, from the front, performed both with the bat as well as the ball to take home the title of the best player. Rubina received a Yamaha 125 cc scooter with the award. Rubina took her tally to 345 runs in ten matches of the tournament, including a half-century in the final as well. APF, led by Sita Rana Magar, defeated Koshi Province, led by Rubina Chhetri, by 11 runs to win the title. Chasing a target of 115 runs, Koshi managed to score 103 in 20 overs at the loss of just four wickets. Skipper Rubina Chhetri's innings of 62 runs in 58 deliveries with seven fours and a six couldn't be enough to get her side over the line. By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) - Nepali National Cricket Team spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is set to be excluded from the national squad following a verdict from the Kathmandu district court on Friday, which found him guilty of raping a young woman.  Chatur Bahadur Chand, president of the Nepal Cricket Association (CAN), confirmed that Sandeep will not participate in the national team until further orders, pending a possible clearance through another legal decision. APF defeated Koshi Province Women by 52 runs in Qualifier 1 to book their place in Wednesday’s final.
