By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) - Tribhuwan Army FC and Nepal APF Club have booked their place in the 34th National Men's Volleyball Championship with wins on Monday. In their respective matches held in Birendranagar, Surkhet, Army defeated Gandaki Province while APF got better of Nepal Police Club. Army booked their place in the final four with three successive wins and with a game in hand. Army won the match in straight sets with scorelines of 31-29, 25-21 and 25-21. Police, Karnali, Gandaki & Koshi Register Wins In National Men’s Volleyball

By a Staff Reporter Surkhet (HamroKhelkud) - Nepal Police Club, Karnali Province, Gandaki Province and Koshi Province have registered wins in the 34th National Men's Volleyball tournament on the second day. In the first match of the day in Birendranagar, Police defeated Lumbini Province in straight sets with scorelines of 25-14, 25-17 and 25-21. Police dominated the first set after the set stood at 6-5 at one stage. Lumbini succumbed in the second set despite having an 8-3 lead. National Men’s Volleyball Kicks Off In Surkhet

By a Staff Reporter Surkhet (HamroKhelkud) - Madhesh Province, Nepal APF Club, Tribhuwan Army Club and Lumbini Province have made winning starts in the 34th National Men’s Volleyball. In the first match of the tournament that commenced on Friday in Birendranagar, Surkhet, Madhesh defeated Sudurpaschim Province 3-2, going the full distance. Sudurpaschim made a comeback to level the match at 2-2 from 2-1 down. In the decisive set, Madhesh nicked the win with a score of 15-13.  APF defeated Koshi Province in straight sets in the second match. APF got the victory with scorelines of 25-21, 25-16 and 25-17. Nepal Suffer Second Consecutive Loss in ASIAD Men’s Volleyball

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - Nepal Men's Volleyball team have suffered a second straight loss in the 19th Asian Games (ASIAD) men's volleyball. Nepal, in Group 'B', suffered a straight-set loss against a strong opposition in Iran. In the match played at the China Textile City Sports Centre Gymnasium on Wednesday, Nepal's performance was below par against Iran. Nepal lost the first set 25-9 and the rest of the match was also a straightforward loss. The next two sets went 25-15 and 25-13 in favour of Iran. Nepal had lost 3-1 against Bahrain in the first match on Tuesday. Nepal won the first set in that match but conceded the next three sets to lose the match.

Police recorded a 3-1 victory over the New Diamond to be crowned champions in the women's section on Monday at the Indra Rajya Laxmi Secondary School Volleyball Court. The Nepal Volleyball Association (NVA) amidst an event held in Kathmandu on Tuesday, distributed salaries covering three months to the national players. A total of 12 male and 12 female players, currently in the National Team were the beneficiaries of this financial support.
