Nepal was initially pitted in Group 'C' along with Afghanistan, Palestine, and Vietnam. However, due to Palestine's and Afghanistan's withdrawal from the qualifiers, Nepal will now only face Vietnam. The Afghanistan Football Federation (AFF) issued a statement stating that it will not allow players outside the country to represent them or plan to organize a women's national team.
