Kathmandu – In a thrilling encounter, Nepal emerged victorious over Laos in the final match of the Prime Minister’s Three Nations Cup held at Dasrath Stadium on Friday. The match saw both teams put in a strong performance, but Nepal managed to clinch a 2-1 victory.
Laos started the scoring with an early goal from Phoutthavong Sangvilay in the 17th minute, putting Nepal under pressure. However, Ayush Ghalan of Nepal responded quickly and brought his team back into the game with an equalizer in the 24th minute.
The match remained tightly contested, with both teams putting in a strong effort, but it was Manish Dangi of Nepal who emerged as the hero of the match. Manish scored the winning goal for Nepal in the 88th minute, securing the victory for his team.
Ayush Ghalan of Nepal was named the player of the tournament for his outstanding performances throughout the tournament. His contributions played a key role in Nepal’s success in the competition.
With this win, Nepal kept the trophy home and took away a cash prize of USD 5000 as the winner of the tournament.
