By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - Defending champions India faces its first defeat in the history of the SAFF Women's Championship. India lost 3-0 to Bangladesh in the final group stage match in Dashrath Stadium at Kathmandu. Bangladesh scored 2 before going into the break and came back to add one more. Bangladesh's goal in the 7th minute was disallowed by the match referee Om Choki as the Bangladeshi forward commenced foul on Indian Goal Keeper Aditi Chauhan while controlling the cross delivered from the flank. Bhutan trounced Nepal by 2-0 at Khalifa Sports City Stadium in Isa, Bahrain. Bhutan took a lead through Sonam Chemjong in the 33rd minute. Sonam utilized the miscommunication between the Nepalese Goal Keeper and Defender. Bhutan doubled the lead in the early minutes of the second half. By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - Bangladesh scored 6 past Pakistan while and mighty India hammered Maldives 9-0 in ongoing SAFF Women's Championship at Dashrath Stadium in Kathmandu. In the first match of the day, Bangladesh registered a 6-0 victory over Pakistan. Skipper Sabina Khatun scored a hat-trick whereas Monika Chakma, Mosammat Sirat Jahan Shopna, and Ritu Porna Chakma scored one each. Monika scored in the third minute after the kickoff to give Bangladesh an early lead. Shopna doubled the lead for Bangladesh in the 28th minute of the match. Bhutan, who has been participating in the championship since 2010 scored 5 past Sri Lanka at Dashrath Stadium to march on to the semifinal of the championship. Namgyel Dema scored Bhutan's first goal of the championship in the 42nd minute of the match. Deki Lhazom doubled the lead in the 50th minute. Sabitra Bhandari (Samba) and Anita Basnet scored a brace each on a rainy evening at Dashrath Stadium. Nepal took an early lead through Samba in the 12th minute of the match.
