By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu- The Nepal National and International Players Association (NIPA) has expressed its gratitude towards the newly-appointed Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, Tanka Lal Ghising, for taking initiative to draft a work procedure regarding athletes’ insurance and to resume national team training immediately after assuming his office. A meeting of the Council of Ministers had appointed Ghising as the member secretary of NSC last week. Hamrokhelkud to livecast Ring Wrestling Championships

Hamrokhelkud.com signed an agreement to this effect with Nepal Ring Wrestling Association on Tuesday. The association’s General Secretary Subaarna Shrestha and Hamrokhelkud.com’s Editor Prakash Timalsina signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations. The agreement will remain in force for a one-year period. Of late, the association has been organizing ring wrestling in different parts of the country. Rammaya, Prakash bag gold in 3,000 meters race

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - The Youth Athletics Championship kicked off in the capital on Monday. Rammaya Budha and Prakash Kathayat, both from Jumla, clinched gold medals on the opening day of the event in the women’s and men’s 3,000 meters race respectively. Rammaya covered the distance of 3,000 meters at the Dastrath Stadium with a timing of 10 minutes and 44.5 seconds to finish first in the event. Training of national team to resume with the appointment of Ghising as NSC member secretary

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - Newly-appointed Member Secretary of the National Sports Council (NSC) Tanka Lal Ghising has initiated the process of preparing a work procedure regarding athletes’ insurance soon after assuming his responsibility as the head of the apex sports body on Tuesday. Ghising also endorsed a proposal to start preparation for the training of the national team which was halted since the last two years. Ghising endorsed the two decisions while assuming his responsibilities at the NSC office in Tripureshwar.
