By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - The U-19 cricket team of Nepal has crashed out of the ACC U-19 Asia Cup after facing a one-wicket defeat against Kuwait during their group stage match held in the UAE on Tuesday. A century from Kuwait’s wicketkeeper captain Meet Bhavsar condemned Nepal to another defeat in the tournament. Nepal bowed out of the tournament without winning any match. Chasing a target of 240 runs, Kuwait accomplished the feat in 48.5 overs losing 9 wickets. Kuwait’s skipper Bhavsar contributed 175 runs for the team. Nepal’s hopes of making it to the semifinal have come to an abrupt end after losing the group-stage match against Sri Lanka by 60 runs. Nepal, who were chasing a mammoth target of 323 runs, were all out in 47.5 overs with 262 runs on board. It was one of the best performances of Nepal against a Test-playing nation. Organizing a press conference in the capital on Wednesday, the six board members accused that the CAN is not running as per the rules and system. By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - Nepal APF Club and Sudur Paschim Province have made winning starts to the Prime Minister Cup Women’s National T20 Championship underway in Dhangadhi. APF defeated Province 2 by 48 runs in the first match of Group B while Sudur Paschim beat Gandaki Province by nine wickets on Monday. In the first match, Province 2 were chasing a target of 99 runs but they lost 9 wickets in the allotted 15 overs with just 50 runs on board. The cricket governing body decided to appoint a new captain after taking disciplinary action against regular Captain Gyanendra Malla and Vice Captain Dipendra Singh Aire. A board meeting of CAN on Wednesday took the decision to this effect.
