Nepalgunj Marathon President Thakuri Participates In Mass Participation World Conference

Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) – TS Thakuri, the founder and president of the Nepalgunj Marathon, recently participated in the Mass Participation World Conference held in Vietnam. Thakuri informed that the invitation that was sent to the Nepalgunj Marathon for the three-day conference in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, was the first-ever invitation for Nepal. The conference featured figures that included the president of Mass Participation World, Chris Robb; World Athletics running Head Allesio Punzi; Cheif Operating Officer (COO) of the Chicago Marathon, Michael Nishi, the Head of Mass Participation of World Athletics; and representatives from marathon organizers worldwide. Deepak and Phulmati wins Right to Protein run Half Marathon

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - Deepak Adhikari of Tribhuvan Army Club and Phulmati Rana of the Armed Police Force won the Right to Protein run Half Marathon on Saturday. Deepak clocked 1 hour 5 minutes and 8 seconds to clinch the title of half marathon organized by the Nepal Veterinary Association. Rajan Rokaya stood second finishing the distance 6 seconds later. Khadak named new champion of Nepalgunj Marathon

By a Staff Reporter Nepalgunj - Khadak Singh Khadka of Tribhuvan Army Club won the title of the 8th Nepalgunj Marathon completing the distance in 2 hours 20 minutes and 28 seconds here at Nepalgunj. Competing in 7 previous editions, Khadak earned his first title coming in the 8th. He managed to complete fourth in the 7th edition of the Nepalgunj Marathon. Nepalgunj Marathon gets AIMS recognization

By a Staff Reporter Nepalgunj Marathon has been recognized by the highest governing body of world athletics, the Association of International Marathon and Road Race (AIMS). The 8th edition of the Nepalgunj Marathon will be held on 10th December. Nepalgunj Marathon got AIIMS on Wednesday. "We received the AIMS letter and certificate on Wednesday night. We have been certified in four categories," the founding president of Nepalgunj Marathon TS Thakuri informed. Nepalgunj marathon received certification for 42.195 KM marathon, 21.097 KM half marathon, 10 KM, and 5 KM races.
