Almutairi appointed Head Coach of Nepal

Subas Humagain, Kathmandu Fresh from the title triumph in Three Nations Cup, All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) has appointed Kuwait national Abdullah Almutairi as the head coach of Nepal Men's National Football Team. Abdullah, a pro license holder and AFC coaching instructor with no prior senior national team experience has been signed on an initial one year term. His appointment is part of partnership between Qatar Football Association and ANFA for development of technical aspect of the game. The Memorandum of Understanding between two associations was signed in 2018. Abdullah arrived Nepal a couple of weeks ago and after assisting the technical team, he was recommended to the job by the technical committee ANFA. Pierre Emerick Aubameyang was benched on Arsenal’s one of the most important matches of the season last weekend. Chris Wilder has left Sheffield United by "mutual consent". The decision came after his relationship with the club's owner broke down. Wilder took over at Bramall Lane in May 2016, and was a fan favorite. Chelsea into to the quarterfinals of UCL

Hakim Ziyech and Emerson Palmieri scored one each to give Chelsea win vs Atletico Madrid. Chelsea are now through to the quarterfinals of the competition after winning the tie 3-1 in aggregate. Chelsea were the better side the whole game and didn’t take long to take the lead. The new trio Havertz, Werner and Ziyech combined for a beautifully worked goal in the 34th minute. MLS investigate Inter Miami about Matuidi transfer

Inter Miami's new signing Blaise Matuidi is being investigated by Major League Soccer. After three seasons with Serie A club Juventus, the France international joined Inter Miami on a free transfer in August 2020. "Major League Soccer has begun a formal review of Inter Miami CF's signing of midfielder Blaise Matuidi, specifically investigating whether the signing of the player complied with Major League Soccer's salary budget and roster guidelines," a league statement read. After their 1-0 win in the first leg of the tie, Real Madrid won 3-1 in the second leg and booked their place in the quarter finals of the Champions League. Thanks to goal from Benzema, Ramos and Assensio Madrid won 4-1 on aggregate with consolation goal from Muriel. Tottenham Hotspur beat Crystal Palace 4-1 in the Premier League. Thanks to two spectacular goals early in the second half, Spurs are now pushing for the top 4 spot.
