After their 1-0 win in the first leg of the tie, Real Madrid won 3-1 in the second leg and booked their place in the quarter finals of the Champions League.

Thanks to goal from Benzema, Ramos and Assensio Madrid won 4-1 on aggregate with consolation goal from Muriel. Atlanta would have found their dream start in the 3rd minute when Gosens nearly found the net from Muriel cross. But the cross was thwarted by Courtios.
Atlanta enjoyed most of the possession but couldn’t find the opening. However, just after 34 minutes, Benzema scored and put Real ahead. It was his 6th goal in five games. Ramos made it 2-0 which was his 101st goal for Madrid. Ramos’ goal was a penalty from a foul drawn by Mendy.
In the final ten minutes, La Dea threatened a comeback when Luis Muriel scored from a free kick to set up a tense end. Just two minutes later, Lucas Vazquez fed Marco Asensio to put Gian Piero Gasperini’s men to rest for good.
