Nepal defeated Bahrain by ten wickets, chasing the target in just 2.5 overs. Chasing a target of just 32 runs, Nepal got to the total in just 2.5 overs without losing any wickets. Nepal who were chasing a target of 342 runs were bundled out at 104 runs in 23.4 overs. Sompal Kami scored 28 runs in 46 deliveries with four fours and remained the top run-getter for Nepal in the match followed by 26 off 38 from Aarif with five boundaries. Pakistan, who won the toss and opted to bat, managed to put 342 runs on board at the loss of six wickets, playing the whole 50 overs with brilliant performances by skipper Babar Azam and Iftikhar Ahmed. World number one batter and Pakistan skipper Babar Azam played a stellar innings of 151 runs with 14 fours and four sixes while Iftikhar Ahmed scored a quickfire ton, managing to score an unbeaten 109 in 71 deliveries with 11 fours and four sixes. Nepal defeated Hong Kong owing to the Duckworth-Lewis method in a match that was affected by rain later on. Chasing a target of 102 runs, Nepal managed to get to 37 runs at the loss of a wicket in 5.3 overs. The match was stopped due to bad weather at that stage and couldn’t be continued later on. Nepal finished at the top owing to a superior net run rate despite suffering a six-wicket loss against hosts Malaysia. Chasing a target of just 85 runs in 18 overs in a rain-affected match, Malaysia lost four wickets, getting to the total in 16.2 overs. Nepal defeated Kuwait by 34 runs thanks to a stellar all-round performance from Indu Barma.  Kuwait went out to bat with a target of mere 90 runs given by Nepal.
