By a Staff Reporter Agency - Nepal's number one professional golfer Sukra Bahadur Rai finishes eighth in the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) Players Championship 2022 marking his best-ever performance at PGTI. In a tournament held at Panchkula Golf Club in Haryana, Sukra carded 2-under 70 and posted a score of 11-under 288 in the fourth and final round of the tournament that carries a prize purse of Rs. 50 Lakh IC. Sukra improved a spot to share the eighth position with Indian golfer Manu Gandas. Sukra, who finished 2-under 34 on the front nine, ended with an even-par 36 at the back nine. Subash and Kashmira victorious in Nepal Tourism Amateur Golf Championship

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - Top amateur Subash Tamang and Kashmira Shah were named victorious in Nepal Tourism Amateur Golf Championship 2022 under the 54-hole men and women category.  Subash carded a winning total of 10-under 208 at Gokarna Golf Club on Thursday. He registered a 13-stroke victory over runner-up Tashi Tshering in the 54 Hole Men's category. Similarly, with 3-over 219 Tashi managed to secure second. Wanchen Dhondup finished third with a five-over 221 and an even-par 72. Qatar's Selah Ali Luckabi finished fourth with eight-over 224. In a program organized on Friday, Rai and Pradip Sharada of Premier Organics had signed a Memorandum of understanding (MOU) for the time period of half a decade. The MOU states that it will provide the amount of Nrs. 8.50 lakhs to Rai for the sake of participating in National and International Golf Tournaments. Sukra carded three-under 69 in the final round to post the winning total of 19-under 269 at the Gokarna Golf Club on Thursday.
