ANFA exco meeting halted!

By a Staff Reporter The second meeting of the newly elected Executive Committee of All Nepal Football Association - ANFA has been halted. As the Senior Vice President Bir Bahadur Khadka and other members refused to sign the attendance sheet, the meeting halted without entering in the agenda as informed by the Vice President of ANFA Dirgha Bahadur KC. "We signed up for the attendance. But some of the members including the Senior Vice President refused. The meeting was about to commence without their signature but he did not agree to begin the meeting without every attendees signature. Then the president decided to halt the meeting." KC informed. ANFA Executive Committee meeting rescheduled for Thursday

By a Staff Reporter The second meeting of the All Nepal Football Association - ANFA's newly elected executive meeting which got postponed on Monday is rescheduled for Thursday. ANFA informed that the meeting will commence from 7:00 am on Thursday through its website. After ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang got admitted to Mediciti Hospital on Monday due to poor health, the meeting scheduled for the same day was postponed. Nembang was discharged at 9:00 pm on Monday itself. 17 agendas including the appointment of Deputy Secretary General, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Spokesperson have already been fixed for the ANFA meeting. ANFA Executive Committee meeting postponed as President Nembang got indisposed

By a Staff Reporter The All Nepal Football Association - ANFA's executive committee meeting scheduled for today got postponed until further notice. The postponement came after ANFA President Pankaj Bikram Nembang got admitted to hospital due to poor health. As per Kiran Rai, the General Secretary of ANFA, Nembang was immediately taken to Medicity Hospital in Lalitpur as the President felt uneasy. After the initial test, it showed that his blood pressure was elevated. He had to stay under observation for 6 hours to undergo further tests. After which General Secretary Rai informed that the meeting had to be postponed forcefully until further notice. ANFA announces final squad for SAFF U20

By a Staff Reporter The All Nepal Football Association has announced the 23 members squad for the upcoming SAFF U20 Championship to be held in Bhubaneswar, India. Head Coach Meghraj KC has finalized the team a week prior to the tournament. KC announced the 23 membered final squad including midfielder Sugam Suwal who came back home from Denmark to participate in the selection. The Nepali youth team will kick off the championship by playing against Maldives on July 25. Similarly, Nepal will take on Sri Lanka on July 27 and will face the home side India on July 31. On Sunday, NRT suffered a big margin loss to Thailand’s top-flight club Chonburi FC. The visitors were beaten 9-0 by the Thai club. NRT were in pressure right from the beginning and ended up with the humiliating defeat. This is the fourth straight defeat of NRT during its tour to Malaysia and Thailand. By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - New Road Team (NRT) suffered another defeat in a friendly match in Thailand during their pre-season tour. NRT were defeated 5-2 by Thailand’s third-tier club Kasem Bundit University FC on Thursday. Sanjok Rai and Stefan Winnong were on target for NRT. At one point of the match, the game was 2-2 but NRT conceded three more goals for the wide-margin loss. NRT took the lead with a goal from  Rai in the 23rd minute.
