By a Staff Reporter Nepal National Women's Football Team and Nepal APF Football Club striker Sabitra Bhandari aka Samba is set to head towards India on Saturday to join Gokulam Kerela FC. Samba and Gokulam Kerela FC reached an agreement last month for a time period of one year. Samba was the prime player of the team when Gokulam Kerela FC crowned the title of the Indian Women's League (IWL) a couple of years ago. With the top-notch performance from Samba, Gokulam bagged the trophy remaining undefeated.     Samba scored goals in all the league matches. She was named the top scorer of the league with 16 goals. By a Staff Reporter South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) has announced the fixtures of the Women's SAFF Championship to be held in Nepal next month on Sunday. The sixth edition of SAFF Championship will begin from September 6 to 19, 2022 at Dashrath Stadium in Tripureshwor. Nepal, who were drawn in group A along with Bhutan and Sri Lanka will face Bhutan in the opening match of the championship on 6th September at 5:30 PM NST as per the fixture published by SAFF. Moreover, Nepal will play its second and final group stage match against Sri Lanka on 12th September. Two matches of Group B will take place on the second day. By a Staff Reporter The Football Association of Brunei Darussalam has sent a proposal to the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA) to play two friendly matches next month. On the occasion of the inauguration of its new stadium, Brunei planned to organize a three nation football series by inviting Nepal and Laos. ANFA has received an proposal last week for the match which has been planned to commence under FIFA International Match Calendar.   According to the proposal, the match between Laos and Nepal will be held on September 21, Brunei and Nepal on September 24 and Brunei and Laos on September 27. With two wins in a row, Nepal is one of the favorites to play in the final of the tournament.
