Kathmandu - Nepal Police Club, previously struggling in the relegation zone, made an impressive climb to the fourth position in the ongoing Martyr's Memorial 'A' Division League.
Their recent triumph came in a hard-fought 2-1 victory against relegation-threatened Friends Club at Dasarath Stadium on Monday. Anjan Rai emerged as the star player for Police, scoring both goals, while Bikash Thapa contributed a goal for Friends.
The match witnessed Police capitalizing on set pieces, with Anjan Rai and Soujan Rai combining brilliantly twice to secure their team's victory. Anjan quickly opened the scoring in the third minute, expertly heading the ball into the back of the net from Soujan Rai's well-delivered free-kick.
