India secured their spot in the semis by defeating Bhutan 2-1 in the final match of Group B. India remained undefeated in their two matches, topping Group B with a total of six points, while Bhutan finished as runners-up with three points from their two group-stage games. Nepal Squad For SAFF U-19 Championship Finalized

By a Staff Reporter Kathmandu - Nepal's 23-man final squad for the SAFF U-19 Championship has been finalized. ANFA announced the final squad for the tournament on Wednesday afternoon. Head coach Sunil Shrestha left out Nishant Tamang and Niraj Karki from the 25-man squad that was in the closed camp for the past week. These two players have been kept as standby players, according to ANFA. Goalkeeper Jiyarat Sheikh will captain the Nepali side. Nepal are Group ‘A’ alongside Maldives and Pakistan, while Group ‘B’ consists of India, Bhutan, and Bangladesh. The team reached Yangon International Airport on Tuesday afternoon and was welcomed by the Myanmar Football Federation officials upon arrival. FIFA Assistant Referee Bikram Chaudhary Passes Away

Kathmandu - FIFA assistant referee Bikram Chaudhary has passed away. Chaudhary breathed his last during regular training at Army Headquarters on Friday morning due to a heart attack.  He was given CPR by the medical team of the Army after he fell on the field during training. He was rushed to the Army Hospital in Chhauni, where he was declared dead upon arrival by the doctors, according to sources at the Tribhuwan Army Club. His body is currently kept in the hospital in Chhauni. A decision regarding his last rites will be taken in the presence of his family members.  Hailing from Sarlahi, Chaudhary was working as a FIFA assistant referee for the last three years. Ra’anana defeated Hadera FC 2-0 in the second-round matchup of the Athena Cup to progress to the third round of the tournament. Adee Gulden and Samba scored a goal each in the victory for Hapoel.  Gulden gave her side the lead of the match off a pass from Samba.
