Pubudu was appointed as Canada's head coach within a few hours of his resignation. Dassanayake, who returned to Nepal last year, quitted from his job after working for 7 months. By a Staff Reporter Agency - A new date for the commencement of 19th edition of Asian Games which was postponed due to the Covid-19 outbreak has been fixed. The Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) has confirmed that the competition will take place from 23 September to 8 October 2023 in Hangzhou, China. Earlier, ASIAD was scheduled to be held from September 10 to 25, 2022. It was postponed due to the escalating Covid-19 cases in China.

The competition will kick off from July 25 to 31 as per the team manager Naresh Rawal. 93 teams from different countries will participate in the competition which will be based on league cum knockout format.
