Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) – East Service emerged victorious in the GetSetGame presents New Balance 3×3 Basketball tournament. Easy Service defeated Bhatbhateni Supermarket in the final that ended in a 12-12 tie in regular time. East Service secured the win in extra time at the Mamba Sports Center.
In the women’s final, Reduct Nepal dominated Qniverse with a dominating score of 10-4.
Naresh Maharajan of East Service was named the Most Valuable Player in the men’s category, while Riya Thapa of Reduct Nepal earned the same title in the women’s category.
Niraj Singh of Nepal Investment Mega Bank received the award for the best shooter, with Bhumika Shrestha of Qniverse taking home the title in the women’s category. Additionally, Norbu Lama of Bhatbhateni Supermarket was recognized as the best defender in the men’s category, while Sadhavi Malla of Reduct Nepal received the same honor in the women’s category.
The Nepal Investment Mega Bank Women’s Team was awarded with the Fair Play Award. Raj Jung Thapa, Managing Director at GetSetGame, expressed his delight at the overwhelming response to the event and highlighted the talent within the corporate community and the universal appeal of basketball as a sport.
The tournament featured 14 men’s teams and 4 women’s teams and was supported by the Nepal Basketball Association, with primary sponsorship from New Balance.
