TAC victorious over Sri Lankan side ST Joseph Watch Sports Club

Defending Champions Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) registered a victory over Sri Lankan side ST Joseph Watch Sports Club in an ongoing Tiger Cup at Pokhara.

TAC won in a straight set of 3-0. ST Joseph Watch Sports Club scored 20, 17, and 10 past TAC in the first match under the men’s event.

Similarly, in the women’s event, reigning champions Nepal APF Club trounced hosts Gandaki Province in a straight set. APF pocketed Gandaki scoring 25-11, 25-19, and 25-16 in a one-sided match.

Furthermore, Nepal APF Club recorded the second win in a row defeating their departmental rivals Nepal Police Club (NPC) in a set of 3-1. APF, who won the first set by 25-19, lost the second by 21-25. However, APF won the third and fourth sets further by 25-19, and 25-18 to atop the points table.

A total of 9 teams including 4 women’s and 5 men’s teams are competing in the third edition of Tiger Cup. Both the champion teams will purse NRs. 5 Lakhs each, while the runners-up will receive NRs. 2.5 Lakhs.

Similarly, the Best Player of each match will be rewarded with five thousand and a health checkup facility equivalent to three thousand rupees. The best player in both events will receive NRs. 25,000 and the best in each category will get NRs. 10,000.
