Kathmandu – The first semi-final match of the KP Oli Cup at ANFA Complex got called off midway due to heavy rainfall and hailstorms.

The match started under hazy weather conditions and was later interrupted by rainfall that began a few minutes before halftime. Both the teams were yet to open their accounts till the end of the first half.
Despite restarting the match after the interval, the teams struggled to play due to continuous rainfall and a wet pitch, resulting in the postponement of the game. The second half of the match will now take place on Monday at 11 AM.
Moreover, the second semi-final will be held at 3 PM on the same day with Machhindra FC taking on the host KP FC. Machhindra today advanced to the final of the Bhadarapur Gold Cup in Jhapa defeating APF FC. The team will fly toward the capital tomorrow.
The National Youth Federation is organizing KP Oli Cup National Football Tournament from February 23 to 28 where the champions will purse NRs. 1 Million and the runners-up will receive NRs. 5 Lakhs. Likewise, the Most Valuable Player of the tournament will be rewarded with NRs. 1 Lakh. Moreover, the best goalkeeper, the best goal scorer, and the emerging player will earn NRs. 50 thousand each.
Furthermore, the organizers will award NRs. 25,000 to the winning team of each match and 15,000 rupees to the player of the match.
