Kathmandu – Santosh Saukhala, the all-time top goal scorer of the Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League, has returned to the Three Star Club after 7-years.
Santosh, who arrived in Nepal last week, penned down an agreement with Three Star on Friday. However, neither party disclosed the financial terms of the agreement.
The 35-year-old forward last played for the club during the National League in 2015 before moving to Japan mid-season.
In 2018, Santosh came back to Nepal and played in Nepal’s top-tier league from Chyasal Youth Club, where he completed the 100-goal milestone and became the first player to complete 100 goals in the league.
Since then, he has been living in Japan until returning to Nepal in 2018 to play for Chyasal Youth Club, where he became the first player to score 100 goals in the league.
Santosh is now set to lead the Three Star’s front line for the remainder of the season, starting with a match against their long-standing rivals Manang Marshyangdi Club on Monday.
As it stands, Three Star holds the sixth position in the League’s points table having played a total of 6 matches, winning 3, losing 2, and drawing 1.
