Satdobato steals point from Army

Kathmandu – Tribhuvan Army Football Club has shared points with Satdobato Youth Club in Martyr’s Memorial ‘A’ Division League after failing to maintain the lead 3 times. The match ended in a 3-3 draw at Dasharath Stadium on Sunday.

Gillespye Jung Karki scored two goals for Army in the first half, and Satdobato scored a piece in between through Dipak Singh Thakuri.

Army took an early lead, thanks to the Gillespye Jung Karki, who headed the ball home following Jagjit Shrestha’s cross from the right wing in the fourth minute of the match.

Satdobato’s Deepak Raj Singh Thakuri then beat three Army defenders and leveled the match in the 25th minute of the game.

18 minutes later, Gillespye scored his second goal and gave the Army the lead before going into the break.

Satdobato returned to the match 3 minutes after coming from the break. Sardorbek Matmuratov leveled the match once again after Army’s goalkeeper Bikesh Kuthu failed to collect Niraj Chaudhary’s cross.

After 4 minutes of an equalizer, Army took the lead again. Deepak Gurung’s cross from the right wing went directly into the goalpost.

In the 85th minute, William Opoku converted the free kick from 30 yards away to bring Satdobato back into the game. The draw helped Satdobato climb to the third position in the points table with 13 points from 7 matches. Meanwhile, Army stands in the mid of the table with 9 points.
