Former Skipper of Nepal National Cricket Team, Paras Khadka has announced retirement from all forms of International Cricket.
Khadka on Tuesday announced retirement through his social media accounts. Having debuted for Nepal in 2004 against Malaysia, Khadka led Nepal to its maiden World Cup in 2014. He also captained Nepal from Division 5 to ODI status during his tenure.
Khadka was considered one of the best players in associate cricket. An allrounder in the pitch, Khadka usually batted in top order for Nepal with medium pace bowling. Khadka has said he’ll continue his domestic cricket to develop Nepali cricket even after international retirement.
Khadka last played for Nepal in ACC Eastern Region T20 while missed Nepal’s home series against the Netherlands and Malaysia nursing shoulder injury.
Khadka was the first player to score ODI and T20I Century for Nepal. He scored his maiden ODI ton against UAE and was the first captain to score T20I hundred while chasing against Singapore.
Khadka played 10 ODI, 33 T20I, 44 List A, and 56 T20 matches throughout his career. He left his captaincy in 2019 and had represented age groups team prior to his senior duty.
