Kathmandu – The inaugural edition of the Nepal Warriors Championship 2023 is scheduled to commence this Friday in the capital city with Fourteen fighters from Nepal and India participating.
The Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) will feature a total of seven fights, including five amateur bouts and two professional clashes. Representing Nepal in the professional fights will be Rabindra Dhat and Mandip Rana Magar. Rabindra will compete in the Featherweight Division against India’s Jason Lingdeo, while Mandip will face off against India’s Suyash Jyadav.
Among the amateur fights, Karma Gurung will take on Akash Dahiya in the lightweight category, and Farhan Ibrahim will square off against Sudeep Tamang in the bantamweight division. Additionally, Dhiraj Sharma and Rahul Hamle will face each other in the featherweight category, while Sahil Boora will go head-to-head with Kunjan Kashpati in the lightweight division. The event will also feature a clash between Prabal Ghale of Nepal and Shreyansh Singh of India in the lightweight category.
Amidst a program, the organizers confirmed that all preparations for the tournament have been completed successfully. As part of the event, a face-off was held between the professional fighters. Rabindra expressed confidence in his ability to emerge victorious, while Jason remained confident that the home fans would create a calm and supportive environment.
The Nepal Warriors Championship will be broadcast live on the HamroKhelkud’s YouTube Channel, allowing fans from around the world to witness the thrilling fights in real-time.
