Kathmandu – The NSC Covered Hall is set for an exciting showdown as Nepal Police Club and Help Nepal gear up to compete in the title clash of the 7th PM Cup Women’s and Men’s NVA National Volleyball Club League on Saturday.
In the Men’s section, Help Nepal and Nepal Police Club have secured their spots in the finals after finishing first and second, respectively, in the points table during the round-robin league phase.
Help Nepal claimed the top spot, amassing an impressive 16 points by winning all six league matches. On the other hand, Nepal Police Club finished closely behind with 15 points, triumphing in five out of six matches. The final match is scheduled to commence at 3 PM.
In the Women’s section, departmental rivals Nepal Police and Nepal APF Club will battle it out for the championship title at 12 PM. Nepal Police Club secured the first position in the round-robin league, accumulating 12 points. Meanwhile, Nepal APF Club finished in second place with 11 points. Both teams experienced one defeat in their respective five outings.
The top four teams in both sections will receive cash prizes of Rs. 6,00,000, Rs. 3,00,000, Rs. 1,50,000, and Rs. 75,000, respectively. Additionally, the best players in the tournament will be rewarded with Rs. 35,000 each. The best server, setter, blocker, spiker, libero, and coach will each receive a cash prize of Rs. 15,000.
Reigning Champions Tribhuvan Army Club and Nepal APF Club finished third and fourth respectively in men’s section while New Diamond Sports Academy and Tribhuvan Army Club remained third and fourth in women’s section.
