Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) – Nepal have been grouped alongside Hong Kong, Bhutan and Maldives in Group D of the ACC Women’s Premier Cup set to be held next month in Malaysia.
The groups and schedule for the tournament were published by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) on Tuesday.
Nepal will take on Hong Kong on February 10 followed by Bhutan the next day and Maldives on February 13. The quarterfinals will be played on February 14, semifinals on the 16th while the final will be on the 18th. The two finalists will play the ACC Women’s Asia Cup in July. India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and two finalists of the Premier Cup will play the Asia Cup.
Thailand, Myanmar, Kuwait and Singapore make up Group A while UAE, China, Oman and Japan will compete in Group B. Group C will have Indonesia, Bahrain, Malaysia and Qatar. The top two teams in each group will qualify for the quarterfinals.
Nepal have already called up 24 players for the closed camp ahead of the Premier Cup.
