Kathmandu – The third edition of the Nepal APM TT Championship is scheduled to take place from October 4 to 7. The championship will be held at the Nepal APM Club premises in Bhaisipati, Lalitpur.
The tournament receives a sponsorship from Xiom Nepal. An agreement between Nepal APM and Xiom Nepal was officially sealed on Tuesday, where Xiom will provide table tennis equipment worth NRs. 6,00,000/- for all the victorious players. APM Director Dan Bahadur Mahata and Xiom Nepal Director Jackie Maharjan inked the sponsorship deal during the ceremony on Tuesday.
The championship is set to host nine events, with an estimated 300 participants hailing from Nepal, China, South Korea, Japan, and India. Tagro has been named the official Ball Partner for the tournament, with technical support provided by the All Nepal Table Tennis Association and the Nepal Olympic Committee.
The championship encompasses Cadet Boy’s Singles, Cadet Girl’s Singles, Junior Boy’s Singles, Junior Girl’s Singles, Open Team Event, Veteran Men’s 40+, Veteran Men’s 50+, Veteran Men’s 60+, and Veteran Women’s Singles 40+.
Highlighting the generous rewards, Xiom Nepal’s Director, Jackie Maharjan, disclosed that the champions of the Open Team Event would receive the coveted Xiom Latest Pro 9 Table Tennis Table, valued at Rs 2 lakh. Furthermore, all semi-finalists and runners-up across the nine events will be presented with Xiom Table Tennis Equipment worth Rs 4 lakh.
