Kathmandu (HamroKhelkud) – Nepal is set to host an exciting triangular T20I series featuring Nepal, UAE, and Hong Kong in preparation for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup Asia Qualifiers scheduled for next month.

This decision was made in the first board meeting held on Tuesday following the recent election of Chatur Bahadur Chand as president of the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) for the third consecutive term and Paras Khadka as secretary.
The double round-robin series is set to take place at the TU Cricket Ground, from Ashoj 30 to Karthik 9 (October 17 to 26). Subsequently, the top two teams will contest the final, which will be hosted at the TU Cricket Ground, while the rest of the matches are scheduled to be played at the Mulpani Cricket Ground.
Looking ahead to the ICC T20 World Cup Asia Zone Qualifier, scheduled from Karthik 13th to 20th, it will unfold across both the Mulpani and TU Cricket Grounds. In Group A, there are Nepal, Singapore, Oman, and Malaysia, while Group B boasts UAE, Bahrain, Hong Kong, and the winner of Asia Qualifier A.
Asia Region Qualifiers A will be contested by Kuwait, Maldives, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia, with the matches taking place in Qatar from September 28 to October 5.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals, set to take place on Kartik 17 (November 3). The final is scheduled for Kartik 19 (November 5) at the TU Cricket Ground.
The two finalists will qualify for the ICC T20 World Cup next year in the USA and the West Indies.
