Kathmandu – Nepal Basketball Association (NeBA) bid farewell to the team traveling to Maldives to compete in SABA Women’s Championship 2022 starting from September 24 to 30.

Nepal Sports Council (NSC) Member Secretary Tanka Lal Ghising bid farewell and extended his best wishes to the team amidst a program at NSC premises.
The team will be led by Sadina Shrestha. The squad consists Alina Gurung, Alisha Malla, Amisha Ghale, Anusha Malla, Binamani Yonjan, Garisha Silwal, Mina Gurung, Muna Maharjan, Pratiksha Magar, Rachana Shrestha, and Shreya Khadka. Amisha Ghale and Binamani Yonjan will don the national colors for the first time.
8 players who won silver in the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) back in 2019 have been included in the traveling team. Moreover, Garisha Silwal and Mina Gurung, who competed in 3×3 Basketball on 13th SAG are set to mark their debut in the full court. Nepal bagged bronze in 3×3 basketball back then.
Bikash Shahi is the coach whereas the responsibility of the team manager is given to Niranjan Satyal. The team will fly towards Maldives on September 23.
