Inter go six points clear at the top

Internazionale beat Parma 2-1, putting them six points clear at the top of the Serie A table. Alexis Sanchez scored twice.

In the first half, both teams had opportunities to score. Inter goalkeeper Samir Handanovic pressured into a fine saving by the hosts’ Jasmin Kurtic. While Inter’s Romelu Lukaku missing a decent opportunity just before the break.

After the break, Antonio Conte’s team proved their consistency when Sanchez pounced on a loose ball to score in the 54th minute. The Chilean forward added a second eight minutes later after Lukaku’s brilliant job. Parma reduced the lead to one goal in the 71st minute thanks to Hernani’s close-range finish.

But Inter stayed on for another crucial win in their quest for their first Scudetto in 11 years. Parma piled forward after Hernani’s opener, putting the visitors under pressure, but Inter defended well and won.
